Navigator funding available

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the availability of funding, totaling $60 million, to support Navigators in the federally facilitated (FFM) and state partnership Marketplaces in 2014-2015.

Michigan has been apportioned $2,190,950 in funding. Each applicant is eligible for only one, non-renewable, one-year cooperative agreement award.

Who is eligible to receive funding?

Funding may be made available to eligible individuals, as well as private and public entities, applying to serve as Navigators.

When will funding be awarded?

CMS expects to award grants by Sept. 8, 2014.
